My main purpose for this blog is to promote topics that assist new to up and coming imaging informatic analysts understand terminology and important details they will encounter in their positions. Topics range from simple and mundane to summaries of the more complex and thought provoking.
I’ve worked in the medical imaging field since the early 80’s. In the early days of image transfers we used Unix scripts to push images from system to system. We’ve come a long way but still haven’t reached the apex of imaging informatics. As managers, we always seem to be right ahead of the technologies available to us. We’ve learned to create and come up with work-arounds to accomplish some crazy feats for our end-users. Enter here with an open mind and remember that vendor applications will all look different but functionality should be the same.
